Strasbourg France – The potential origin of the Schulz last name…and the nose. The city was INCREDIBLE. Can’t express that enough. The main old town section where we stayed had a river running completely around it. A city circled by a river and bridges. We happened upon an ancient cathedral and noticed a date on it of 1015. Then we saw signs stating there was to be a light show on it that night celebrating its 1000 Year Anniversary. 1000 YEARS OLD! I tried to wrap my head around that and it almost exploded. I still can’t grasp all the things in time that occurred that the cathedral was witness too. It seems Gutenburg took sactuary there as there was a statue of him and other places named after him. I only hope Strasbourg is where our ancestors came from as it is the prettiest and nicest city we have seen thus far. We tried to capture pictures of the cathedral during the light show but it was hard. Some below. What was also cool about the light show was that each statue became colorized with colored gowns and the church was a deep blood red. In the right place at the right time. Off to Switzerland tomorrow.
